Position Overview

ADG Blatt is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Program Management team. This senior-level position is intended for an engineer or experienced AEC professional with demonstrated success leading complex projects, managing client and stakeholder relationships, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and guiding projects from planning and due diligence through design, construction, and closeout.

The Senior Project Manager serves as a trusted advisor to clients, bringing clarity and leadership to project scope, schedule, budget, risk, decision-making, and execution. This individual will lead projects assigned by the Director of Program Management and collaborate closely with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, end users, and other project stakeholders.

In addition to project leadership, the ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of engineering, construction, or the broader AEC industry and serve as a subject-matter resource for project and technical reviews. An engineering background and professional licensure are valued but are not required for an experienced AEC professional who demonstrates the technical judgment and project leadership necessary for the position.

Essential Functions

Senior Project Management

  • Serve as Senior Project Manager for projects assigned by the Director of Program Management.
  • Lead projects from planning and due diligence through design, construction, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, communication protocols, and decision-making processes.
  • Coordinate owners, design professionals, consultants, contractors, end users, and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, budget, scope, quality, and coordination concerns.
  • Lead due diligence efforts and coordinate information required from clients, project partners, and end users.
  • Facilitate project meetings and maintain accountability for decisions, action items, responsibilities, and deadlines.
  • Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential impacts to cost, schedule, quality, and project objectives.
  • Coordinate preparation of project agreements and consultant scopes as appropriate.

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Serve as a primary client contact and trusted advisor for assigned projects.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of client goals, priorities, operational needs, and project constraints.
  • Help clients evaluate alternatives and make informed decisions.

  • Evaluate projects for coordination, constructability, operational considerations, project requirements, and potential risk.
  • Assist project teams and clients in evaluating technical information and recommendations provided by architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Identify potential gaps, conflicts, or concerns and facilitate resolution with the appropriate design or construction professional.
  • Apply knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, building systems, and industry practices appropriate to the individual's area of expertise.
  • Contribute lessons learned and technical knowledge to strengthen project review practices and the capabilities of the Program Management team.

Scope, Schedule & Financial Management

  • Manage project scope and monitor alignment with established project objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules and key milestones.
  • Monitor project budgets, cost estimates, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Evaluate proposed changes and communicate potential scope, cost, and schedule impacts.
  • Coordinate with design teams and cost professionals to maintain alignment among scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Maintain clear documentation of project decisions, changes, and approvals.
  • Identify deviations early and lead development of appropriate corrective strategies.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide project leadership and direction to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Construction Administrators, and other team members assigned to projects.
  • Establish clear project responsibilities and expectations.
  • Mentor developing professionals and share project management and technical knowledge.
  • Create opportunities for team members to participate in problem-solving and decision-making appropriate to their experience.
  • Foster a collaborative learning environment that supports professional growth and accountability.
  • Coordinate project staffing and resource needs with the Director of Program Management.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with the Director of Program Management and other firm leaders to improve project workflows, quality, and delivery.

Business Development & Community Engagement

  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible AEC industry experience, including demonstrated senior-level project or program management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex projects through planning, design, and construction.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design professionals, consultants, contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and project performance.
  • Experience performing technical, constructability, or interdisciplinary project reviews preferred.
  • Owner's representative, program management, engineering, architecture, construction, or consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Architect (RA), CCM, PMP, or other relevant professional credential preferred.
  • For candidates holding a PE license outside Oklahoma, ability to obtain Oklahoma licensure through reciprocity is preferred.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Oklahoma City Studio. Our standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We recognize that flexibility is important to experienced professionals and offer flexible work hours following an introductory period, while maintaining the collaboration, communication, and availability our clients and project teams require.

This position requires regular interaction with clients and project teams and may include travel to client meetings, project sites, and other locations. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on project needs.
