Job description

Role Description

As a Project Controls Manager, you'll play a critical role in partnering with the Field Operations Organization and Regional Leadership Team in helping to ensure our ambitious construction projects are delivered on time and on budget in a controlled and systematic manner. You will also be at the forefront of identifying and driving improvements in operating practices and processes across the company, as well as be relied upon to advise the local team of build projects based on data and analysis of best build type approach. You will help make sound business decisions and deliver on construction projects, all while demonstrating a willingness to challenge the status quo. You will be a key partner to the regional leadership team, including the General Manager, influencing how, when and where activity takes place and holding teams to account for project delivery.

In this role, you'll:

  • Track, manage, and measure key business metrics to enable them to hit critical business targets / goals
  • Communicate financial and technical information to leadership, including insights and recommendations for decision making
  • Oversee the operational direction of your project controls teams, driving best-in-class project scheduling and cost control functions
  • Grow, mentor and develop your project controls teamย 
  • Drive and influence the creation of controls requirements including governance, standardized reporting, contract specifications.
  • Partner with stakeholders including Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering and Construction to deliver results.
  • Support team's effort in long term plans for systems and tools required for cost and schedule management.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent practical experience in a similar field.
  • 10 years of experience in Project Controls, managing costs and project schedules for engineering or construction projects that span multiple teams within project management systemsย 
  • Experience using project controls systems including Oracle P6, EcoSys, or another scheduling or cost management tool.
  • 2 years of people management experience including performance management & people developmentย 

It's preferred if you have:

  • Knowledge of finance and accounting processes and terminology.
  • Experience using Ecosys and SAP - Ability to communicate with executives and senior management teams.
  • Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured environment, deal with ambiguity and define the agenda.
  • Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $155,200 - $193,600 + bonus + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
