Job description

As Process Engineer, you will develop, evaluate, design, and optimize Traffic Solutions manufacturing and filling processes. These processes aim to reduce variability, improve process consistency, minimize waste, optimize lead time, and reduce overall manufacturing cost. You will support continuous improvement, technology transfer, and process safety by ensuring robust process design, disciplined execution, collaboration with operations, IT, maintenance, automation, and continuous improvement teams. You will report to the Process Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, define, validate, and maintain manufacturing recipes, batch tickets, and process instructions, including batch size changes and raw material updates.
  • Lead First Lot Control (FLC) activities, including escalation from Tech Lab to Production for the first three batches, first-batch follow-up, and production formula validation and approval.
  • Manage manufacturing processes using statistical methods to improve First Run Capability (FRC), First Time Quality (FTQ), yield, and cycle time.
  • Lead root cause analysis for process abnormalities, including batch out-of-spec conditions, abnormal batches, SSPL ( Safety Process Loss), process deviations, manufacturing variances, and yield losses.
  • Ensure product consistency through the establishment, enforcement, and continuous improvement of operational rules, process instructions, and process discipline.
  • Manage process control systems from a process design and usage perspective, including tracking, operational discipline, and interaction with PLC-controlled equipment (not software programming).
  • Collaborate with IT, automation, maintenance, and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, identify causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Partner with the Continuous Improvement team to lead DMAIC, PDCA, Kaizen events, DOE, and Management of Change (MOC) programs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering with two years or more of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of chemical process engineering, process safety, and Process Safety Management (PSM) principles.
  • Experience with process automation concepts, including PLC systems, P&IDs, and instrumentation used in manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical analysis and quality tools to improve process performance and reduce variability.
  • Hands-on experience working with equipment vendors on equipment layout, tooling design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement programs using DMAIC, PDCA, Kaizen, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Working knowledge of core quality and engineering tools, including FMEA, Control Plans, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Problem-solving, critical-thinking, project management, and communication skills; PHA training preferred; fluent in English.
