Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is actively seeking an Operations Senior Supervisor to join our production team in Rochester, NY. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, this newly added position plays a critical role maintaining production lines for our defense customer.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for production lines including SMT lines, board operations, radio builds
  • Supervise 20-30 individuals typically consisting of support level employees (technicians or assemblers)
  • Provide day-to-day work direction for direct reports, focusing on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions
  • Communicate with parties within and outside of own team, which may include customers or vendors
  • Explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures of the area of responsibility to others within the organization
  • Plan and establish operational objectives for a team within a clearly defined job area
  • Deliver operational results that have some impact on the achievement of departmental results
  • Assign tasks to a team to achieve operational targets, service standards, etc

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related experience in Operations Management. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience implementing continuous improvement to procedures and processes
  • Experience with planning and establishing operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results
  • Experience in general assembly and test operations
  • Experience in SMT lines, PWBA and FWBA operations, and radio builds
  • Experience in NPI teams

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $65,500-$121,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
