To excel as a Sr Building Engineer, you need advanced knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), troubleshooting skills, and typically a relevant technical degree or certifications like EPA Universal or a Stationary Engineer’s license. Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and compliance with safety regulations is critical.
