Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager OR Senior Audit Manager to join our growing Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have extensive public accounting experience and a strong background in either Tax or Audit/Assurance services. This leadership role offers significant client exposure, staff development responsibilities, and partnership-track opportunities.

Senior Tax Manager Responsibilities

  • Review corporate, partnership, and LLC federal and state tax returns.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies for businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted tax advisor.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff and managers.
  • Assist with practice development and client retention initiatives.

Senior Audit Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee audit and assurance engagements from planning through issuance.
  • Lead audits, reviews, compilations, and other attestation services.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review financial statements, workpapers, and engagement deliverables.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop audit professionals.
  • Assist with client retention, business development, and practice growth initiatives.

Qualifications

For Senior Tax Manager:

  • Active California CPA license required.
  • 10+ years of tax experience in a national or regional CPA firm.
  • Expertise in corporate, partnership, and LLC federal and state tax returns.
  • Strong tax planning and client advisory experience.

For Senior Audit Manager:

  • Active California CPA license required.
  • 10+ years of public accounting audit experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB standards, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience managing multiple audit engagements and leading teams.

For Both Roles:

  • Prior experience with a national or regional CPA firm preferred.
  • Ability to manage relationships with senior executives and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Book of business is a plus but not required.
