Job Details 
MGO's Atlanta and Century City, Los Angeles, offices are looking for a professional and organized Senior Tax Associate to join the Business Management team.  This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys combining technical tax expertise with direct client engagement and is interested in supporting clients in dynamic and fast-paced industries. 

As a Tax Senior Associate, you will support a diverse portfolio of clients by assisting with tax compliance, accounting, bookkeeping, and financial management activities. You'll work closely with clients and internal teams while developing specialized expertise at the intersection of tax, accounting, wealth management, and Entertainment, Sports, and Media.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review close outs, tax returns, etc.
  • Supervises the engagement (job) project management, ensures QC (technical) standards along with Tax Manager
  • Takes care of the client (meets deadlines, timely communication)
  • Develops engagement team (prepares associates to the next level
  • Understand and be able to explain the reasons behind the firm’s policies, procedures and practices and project management techniques.
  • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise lower level associates.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2, but typically 3 +, years of experience in public accounting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting OR Bachelor’s Degree plus requisite accounting coursework.
  • Ability to be flexible in changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.
  • Ability to act in a responsive manner to client inquires and requests; escalate the more difficult issues as necessary.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with corporate taxation, individual taxation, close-outs for loan out corporations servicing the entertainment industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, CCH Prosystems and Datafaction is a plus

Salary:  $85,000 - $110,000
