Job Description

PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
MS SSRS Report Write position is responsible for delivering full life-cycle reporting solutions using industry standard business intelligence tools to expose data and KPI's to executive management. As a BI Report Writer you are responsible for the design, development, testing and maintenance of complex reports. The BI Analyst/Developer will also assist in identifying any need for further data sources or content. This role requires you to be a leader in quality control and highly knowledgeable about report-writing and business intelligence best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work closely with other departments to gather and document functional technical report requirements for new reports and translate those changes to reporting solutions using database structures (tables, stored procedures, views, etc.)
    • Manage the data warehouse to ensure accuracy and reliability
    • Create complex reports using MS SSSR
    • Access MS Dynamics to pull the Data to generate reports using SSRS
    • Develop and design web-based dash-boarding
    • Create documentation of report logic and processes
    • Work with QA team to ensure accurate and complete testing


SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required
    • Minimum 3-5 years' experience of SQL programming/business intelligence report writing, report development tool usage and business requirements gathering
    • Must possess the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and assignments
    • Proven experience in effectively partnering with business teams to deliver their goals and outcomes by designing user-friendly reports
    • Experience in C# .Net Development
    • Experience in MS SQL
    • In-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business uses to ensure reports meet business needs
    • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Reporting, Analysis, & Integration Services strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge and experience with ETL tools also preferred.
    • Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Previous experience with ERP systems; Microsoft NAV a plus
