Job description

Job Summary:
Under direct supervision candidate will assist with developing, administering, and maintaining Microsoft SQL servers, clusters and databases. Applies appropriate processes, procedures and security measures to ensure data availability and integrity to improve performance, availability, and stability of all IT initiatives.

Essential Duties:
The SQL report writer will perform the following key functions:
  • Coordinates enhancements and maintenance of databases, as well as structural changes
  • Implements backups, maintenance plans and other procedures
  • Continually monitors database performance and enhance performances as required
  • Documents database architecture - Data Modeling
  • Monitors systems and platforms for availability
  • Performs data loading and verification
  • Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work and learn under direction supervision.
  • Beginner to intermediate understanding of SQL query scripting
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems; or an equivalent degree and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience
Work Environment
  • Fast-Paced, High activity environment
  • Office location: Rockford, IL
  • Lifting and/or Pulling up to 40lbs.; Sitting, Bending, Standing
