POSITION: Marketing and PR Intern

FUNCTION: To assist the USLCI/INEX Communications Manager

RESPONSIBILITY OF: USLCI-INEX Communications Manager

DATE: August 13, 2026

POSITION LOCATION: U.S. Legend Cars International – Harrisburg, NC


ABOUT THE POSITION:

U.S. Legend Cars International, the manufacturer of the world-famous Legend Car and Bandolero race cars, has an opening for a marketing and PR intern for the spring and summer of 2027, with a strong focus on social media. The role of this intern will be to assist the communications manager to develop and create ideas to promote, share stories, and reach USLCI and INEX audiences and beyond. As an intern, you will receive experience in creating content for social media channels from within our manufacturing facility and offices, to on-location at several Legend Car and Bandolero events. Opportunities for content creation outside of traditional camera content, such as story writing, are also available. This internship is paid and has a duration from Monday, January 11 to Friday, July 30, 2027.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop ideas for social media posts that conform to USLCI/INEX and Speedway Motorsports standards
  • Post and manage created content across all USLCI and INEX social media channels
  • Conduct interviews for a weekly featured driver segment, highlighting one of INEX’s Legend Car or Bandolero drivers
  • Manage Sprout Platform Tagging
  • Travel and assist with camera and video documentation, and content creation of the INEX Banquet, INEX Winter Nationals, Charlotte Road Course Series, INEX Spring Nationals, the Cook Out Summer Shootout, and Thursday Thunder


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Stout camera knowledge and skills. DSLR preferred
  • Exceptional social media ethics
  • Short form video and photo editing skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Self-starter, highly motivated with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Able to remain productive in high-paced and slow-paced environments
  • Proficient oral, written, and digital communication skills
  • Ability to travel to events and work select weekends
  • Willingness to learn


LOCATION, TRAVEL, and TIME REQUIREMENTS

  • Required to be present at the U.S. Legend Cars International and INEX Racing Series offices in Harrisburg, North Carolina a minimum of 10 hours a week
  • Required work and travel to the INEX Banquet, INEX Winter Nationals, Charlotte Road Course Series, INEX Spring Nationals, Cook Out Summer Shootout, and Thursday Thunder
  • This internship will span from Monday, January 11 to Friday, July 30, 2027.

EDUCATION

  • A candidate with or pursuing a degree(s) in Journalism, Social Media, or Communication is preferred.
