Job description

Spotlight Energy Solutions is a 30+ year old, growing electrical company. With services ranging from electrical panel upgrades to innovative EV charger installations, we’re the one-stop-shop for electrical and energy services in New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania. We pride ourselves on high-quality workmanship, reliable service, and building long-term relationships with our customers. We take care of our electricians and invest in their growth and professional development.


Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Electrician to manage electrical projects, guide helpers, and ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant installations. Our electricians work in two-man teams, with a Lead Electrician assigned to each team. This is a hands-on field role that requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, customer communication and the ability to manage others in the field.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs
  • Ensure all work meets NEC codes, safety regulations, and company standards
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions
  • Communicate project updates with customers, contractors, and management
  • Train, mentor and direct junior electricians
  • Manage job materials, tools, and site organization
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional electrical experience
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, local codes, and safety practices
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in residential electrical systems; we also do light commercial work, and invite those with commercial experience to apply
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient technologies, EV chargers, or smart electrical systems
