Job description

Summary: The Sportsbook Supervisor oversees daily operation of the Sportsbook, to include oversight of data and wagering systems, odds board, TV's and overall Sportsbook area. Provides exceptional guest service to all Sportsbook guests, including successfully managing guest issues/concerns. As a knowledgeable person on sports wagering, they educate guests on all sports wagering options available at the Silver Reef Sportsbook. At the end of each shift, the Sportsbook Supervisor will be responsible for reconciling the assigned cash drawers. Sportsbook Supervisors do not write tickets and are unable to void any of their own transactions. Perform all duties relating to Title 31/AML compliance in Front of House. Facilitate the placing of wagers by guests in a customer service friendly atmosphere. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures within the Sports Wagering Department. The Sportsbook Supervisor reports directly to the Sportsbook Wagering Manager, and directly supervises the Sportsbook Cashiers.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management in both written and verbal form
  • Must have a full understanding of all wagers offered on betting board with ability to explain to customers as needed.
  • Must possess basic counting and mathematical skills
  • Experience Utilizing OPOS (SG) Technology Systems and Betting Terminals preferred, but not essential.
  • Understand and comply with all company, departmental and Silver Reef Rules and Regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with staff and guests
  • Must be able to maintain Class III Gaming License
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum of one (1) year previous Sportsbook or Gaming supervisory experience preferred
  • High School graduate or equivalent

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Class III Gaming License

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times.
  • Assist in implementing departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in obtaining, inputting, maintaining, and recording all transactions as specified by Sportsbook audit and Silver Reef regulations, including but not limited to Cash Balance Sheets, MTLs, CTRC-Ns
  • Supervise and direct Sportsbook Cashiers
  • Review various Sportsbook reports for accuracy
  • Ensure that all Silver Reef Rules and Regulations are adhered to at all times
  • Assist in contest sign ups (when applicable)
  • Assist in patron disputes
  • Approve voided tickets at Management's discretion

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: (*Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally)

  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
  • Tasks performed from a sitting or non-sitting position.
  • Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area.
