Job description

Sports Market Guest Room Facilitator

Serve as the primary facilitator in booking rooms for our Sports market guests.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Conduct invoicing, contract drafting, and filing of financial documents as well as signed contracts.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary by client requests.
  • Communicate with our Guest Experience to confirm smooth check-in process for clients.
  • Comply/meet resort wide goals of rooms booked as well as revenue attained.
  • Regularly check-in with guests who are in the process of booking/signing contracts with us.
  • Field any requests or complaints by clients.
  • Efficiently transition clients to other team members who can assist with a request such as meeting space or catering.
  • Slight negotiation of terms over contracts or other financial requirements we require as a resort (with approval).
  • Represents the organization at trade shows, events and networking opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sevierville Convention Center or surrounding sports facilities when needed.
  • Work with marketing to promote Sports offerings based on season.
  • Scout potential business as well as building relationships with local, regional, or national decision makers within market.
  • Client first mentality required.
  • All other duties as assigned by management

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Valid Tennessee Driver's License or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to be covered by and maintain company insurance
  • Possess/Maintain adequate personal vehicle Insurance per company requirements

Requires the ability to operate various office equipment to include a computer, word processing, spreadsheets, voice mail, copier, fax, and calculator. Requires a good understanding of company policies and procedures. Working knowledge of resort amenities, room designs, and general sports knowledge. Ability to handle stressful situations. Good attendance and punctual. Exhibits professionalism. Exhibits good grooming habits. Wears the proper uniform. Works efficiently. Follows all resort and office policies and standard operating procedures. Conducts themselves in a professional manner with a positive attitude. Must be a people oriented person. Must be able to build rapport with all walks of life, career, or age. Must remain flexible throughout day to meet client needs.
