QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have background experience as a participant or coach in Softball.
  • Must be able to teach and demonstrate the fundamentals of Softball.
  • Must know state and national rules and be well-versed in Softball.
  • Must be available for all practices and scheduled games.
  • Must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
  • Must complete mandatory Tillamook School District on-line classes (Bloodborne Pathogens, Child Safety, etc.).
  • Must be able to pass a criminal/fingerprint background check ($70 fee).
  • Must have and maintain a valid First Aid/CPR certification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Organize and supervise all aspects of a sports program including practice scheduling, keeping statistics and managing game film, budget management, equipment maintenance and purchasing, communications, etc.
  • Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for individual and team success.
  • Pursue professional growth opportunities through coaching clinics, observations, consultation, etc.
  • Serve as a proper role model for adolescent athletes instructing them in good sportsmanship, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride.
  • Ensure high-quality and effective communication with all stakeholders, fostering a positive image within the school and outside communities.

SALARY: 5,340 - 6,128 (DOE)
