Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Sports Director and Sports Coordinator, this position will help run a safe, appropriate program for children and/or adults.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures at all times.
  2. Serve as a role model to all staff, members, and guests by personally demonstrating the YMCA mission and core values at all times.
  3. Ensure a level of service and engagement that builds relationships and fosters loyalty among those we serve.
  4. Follow all YMCA policies and procedures (i.e. timecard, personnel, dress code, and emergency procedures. Etc.).
  5. Assist with sports activities to advance the YMCA Program.
  6. May do record keeping and tracking of sporting events.
  7. Put in vacation requests two weeks prior to taking time off as per the vacation policy.
  8. Give a 2 week notice before resigning from this position.
  9. Attend all requires All Staff Meetings.
  10. Complete all other duties as assigned by my supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Excellent communication skills needed.
  2. Understand and be committed to the YMCA mission and character Development.
  3. Have an understanding of sports rules and regulations as pertaining to duties.
  4. Must meet all pre-employment requirements including: criminal background investigation as required.
  5. Certifications required within 90 days of hire: CPR/AED, First Aid and Safe schools.
  6. Understand and be committed to the YMCA mission and character development.
