VP Media Sales

Department: RS-602 - Media - Ad Sales

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: US - New York

Description

Role Purpose The Vice President, Media Sales will play a critical leadership role in driving the growth, monetization, and strategic development of DAZN's media business across North America. Reporting to the EVP, Media, this executive will lead commercial media initiatives spanning advertising sales, distribution partnerships, media strategy, and revenue optimization for DAZN's portfolio of premium live sports content.

The VP, Media Sales will help position DAZN as a leading sports media platform by maximizing the value of its live rights portfolio, connected TV inventory, digital products, regional partnerships, and emerging media opportunities. This individual will work cross-functionally to develop innovative commercial solutions that drive audience growth, advertising revenue, distribution expansion, and long-term enterprise value.

Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000. This is hybrid role which will be based mostly on site from our New York office.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Support the EVP, Media in developing and executing DAZNโ€™s North American media strategy, driving commercial growth across advertising, distribution, sponsorship, and partnerships.
  • Identify new business opportunities, revenue streams, and strategic partnerships to maximise the value of DAZNโ€™s national, regional, and local sports media assets.
  • Drive revenue growth through forecasting, business planning, inventory monetisation, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Build and manage senior relationships with advertisers, agencies, distributors, rights holders, leagues, teams, and technology partners.
  • Lead strategic negotiations and business development initiatives to expand DAZNโ€™s media rights, distribution, and commercial footprint.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Technology, Data, Research, Marketing, Finance, and Ad Operations to deliver innovative media solutions.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing media team, fostering a collaborative culture focused on innovation, execution, and talent development.
  • Represent DAZN externally at industry events, executive meetings, and key marketplace engagements, acting as a senior ambassador for the business.
What You'll Bring:
  • 10+ years of leadership experience within sports media, television, streaming, digital media, advertising, distribution, or related industries.
  • Proven success developing and executing media business strategies that drive significant revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of sports media rights, advertising sales, streaming economics, content distribution, and platform monetization.
  • Experience leading complex commercial partnerships and multi-stakeholder negotiations.
  • Deep relationships across media agencies, advertisers, distributors, sports organizations, rights holders, and strategic partners.
  • Knowledge of the connected TV, streaming, digital advertising, and advanced measurement landscape.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including forecasting, revenue management, and business planning.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and executive presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience operating in high-growth or transformational environments.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple business functions and global teams.
