Sports Reporter
Fox31 and KWGN Colorado's Very Own Channel 2 are looking for an experienced Sports Reporter to join our team.
The ideal candidate has multiple skills and experiences that prepare them for reporting and producing a nightly sports show, shooting, writing and editing sports content, producing digital elements, features and streaming shows and as needed anchoring sportscasts.
Denver is a premier sports city and coverage of our many local professional and college teams is competitive. We are looking for a candidate who is connected with sources and breaks sports news on a regular basis. Strong candidate should have a memorable, energetic and creative delivery.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Produce a nightly sports show
  • Anchor and produce sports streaming programming
  • Shoot, write and edit sports stories
  • Strong on-air presence
  • Deliver sports stories in a clear and concise manner
  • Extensive live coverage from major sporting events
  • Show a vast knowledge of Colorado sports teams, players and storylines
  • As needed, co-anchor a nightly sports show and anchor sportscasts
  • Respond to breaking sports news and events as required
  • Requirements:
  • Knowledge of ENG camera.
  • Knowledge of editing - Adobe PremierSports Re
  • Producing knowledge and experience - ENPS
  • College degree
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Open to a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Must be available to travel to cover sports teams
  • Minimum four years of experience in sports MMJ and producing
  • Experience covering professional and high-level college sports teams
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
