Description/Job Summary
The Sports Information Specialist is responsible for all aspects of electronic media production & sports information related to Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) sports teams: Men and Women's Basketball, Men and Women's Cross Country and Women's Volleyball Teams. This position is also required to abide by all rules and regulations established by BCCC, Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MDJUCO), and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). BCCC is a member of MDJUCO, and NJCAA Region XX and the Division One level.
Responsibilities/Duties
  • Oversee production of media guides, publications, and game-day programs and brochure for all sports.
  • Responsible for game statistics and the reporting of statistics.
  • Responsible for updated team rosters and schedule.
  • Oversee maintenance and updating of all portions of the athletic website.
  • Serve as the public relations agent for the Athletics Department.

Required Qualifications
Education:
  • Associate's degree required in Education, Communication, Business Administration, Sports Management or related fields

Experience: ?
  • Two (2) years of experience of website management
  • Two (2) years of experience in statistics

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Supervision experience
  • Three (3) - Five(5) years of experience with social media, Marketing and Public Relations
