Job Summary
The After School Sports Instructor is responsible for leading and overseeing an organized sports program for elementary school aged kids. The Sports Instructor should have the ability and desire to learn & coach multiple sports like (soccer, volleyball, basketball, flag football, etc). The candidate will need to interface with school leaders and students while making sure that the instructional aspects of the i9 Sports Experience are delivered. Teaching the sport, engaging students and ensuring there is organization in the program is paramount. The position entails hands-on involvement with children in grades K-5 at all skill levels. Sessions run for typically 8 weeks at a time once or twice a week (for a couple hours). The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to support one or multiple after school programs (if desired).
Responsibilities
  • Lead sports sessions focusing on fundamentals and skill development to a group of 20 elementary school age kids
  • Teach & demonstrate core concepts including good sportsmanship and teamwork and ensure the kids are having fun
  • Supervise the overall operation of designated after school sport, assist with snack time and take attendance and support program dismissal (as applicable)
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
