The International Motor Sports Association, LLC (IMSA) was originally founded in 1969 and owns a long and rich history in sports car racing. Today, IMSA is the sanctioning body of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the premier sports car racing series in North America. IMSA also sanctions the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge and Historic Sportscar Racing, as well as five one-make series: Ferrari Challenge North America, Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, Mazda MX-5 Cup, Mustang Challenge and Porsche Carrera Cup North America. IMSA - a company within the NASCAR family - is the exclusive strategic partner in North America with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) which operates the 24 Hours of Le Mans as a part of the FIA World Endurance Championship. The partnership enables selected IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competitors to earn automatic entries into the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. SUMMARY
Provides cross-functional opportunity to contribute across the entire IMSA organization by working with and assisting executive leadership, departmental leadership, and other senior staff.
While duties and responsibilities will be grounded within the Member Services and Competition realm of the business, the position will work across and contribute to multiple departments and disciplines.
Responsibilities include gaining knowledge of operations, supporting various aspects of the business, attending and scheduling meetings, creating and editing documents, and all other projects and tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Work directly with stakeholders on entries and credential matters.
  • Work registration during race events.
  • Work directly with Series Managers to ensure communication of event details to stakeholders.
  • Work across all departments, likely in a rotation-type format, to gain industry experience and perspective.
  • Completing all assigned tasks and assisting with day-to-day operations.
  • Participating in various events, meetings, calls, and other learning opportunities.
  • Taking detailed notes and liaising with senior staff and management.
  • Observing and learning from experienced team members.
  • Gaining knowledge of and contributing to company policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Preparing and updating documents.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing phone and email communications.
  • Schedule meetings and calls, including but not limited to, attendee communication and confirmations.
  • Plan/execute meetings, including but not limited to, food and beverage needs, audio/visual, and IT support.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms.
  • Maintain travel profiles, book travel, and management arrangements.
  • Create and edit reports, documents, and presentation materials.
  • Engage in social media /digital special projects.
  • Occasional travel to events.
  • Approximate travel 20%, including weekend travel and occasional multiday travel

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Position does not have any direct supervisory and/or direct report responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with 1 - 3 years of post-graduate professional experience. Experience with or affinity for sports car racing a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in Company-provided hardware and software, email, Internet, and FTP usage. Must be able to use current Microsoft Operating Systems. Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Familiarity and proficiency with current social media platforms
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license; a valid Passport a plus

High level of attention to detail regarding written documents and presentations
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with industry executives
Ability to perform and maintain composure in higher-pressure situations
Ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines
