OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX 2/WJBK is offering a Summer Internship Program for college juniors and seniors majoring in Broadcast Communications, Journalism, or related fields who are interested in gaining experience in the broadcasting industry.

Interns will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain hands-on exposure in the following departments:

Newsroom

Sports

Throughout the internship, students will observe daily newsroom operations, assist with production and editorial tasks, and gain a deeper understanding of how a broadcast newsroom operates.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the internship program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a college junior or senior majoring in Broadcast Communications, Journalism, or a related field

  • Must be available to intern a minimum of 3 days per week, 7 hours per day

  • Must be able to participate during the May - August summer semester
