JOB SUMMARY:

Do you have a passion for the NBA and the NHL? Do you have a passion for sports  broadcasting? Well, here's your chance to join an amazing team! Come join the broadcast team  at SEG Media! The Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth are looking for hard-working Broadcast  Production Interns to join an amazing team. Broadcast Interns get the rare opportunity to work  behind the scenes and impact the inner workings of our television broadcasts. You'll get to  experience and impact SEG Media across pre-production elements, production within the broadcast, content organization after the broadcast, and more. Interns may be asked to  transcribe interviews, edit videos, manage digital assets, handle live broadcast tasks, and help  with video shoots. We're looking for individuals with energy, passion, and a love of sports.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist producers and managers with daily tasks.
  • Learn video editing skills & asset management.
  • Aid in all areas of production.
  • Provide general administration assistance and support.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Work with the SEG Media content team, utilizing social media teams to promote the broadcasts, but also providing them with content.
  • Protect the reputation of the company
  • Exemplify the mission and values: transparent, all in, community obsessed, one team, and scrappy
  • Accept other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Video Editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.)

  • Undergraduate Junior, Senior, or recent graduate studying, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Interest in NBA and/or NHL is preferred.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, & holidays.
  • Previous internship experience is preferred.
  • Editing demo reel is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
