ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
Do you enjoy writing and want to build a career in sports digital media? The Sporting News is seeking an ambitious, motivated and creative recent college graduate for a paid six-month content producer internship from August 2026 through February 2027.
This is a hands-on editorial role supporting The Sporting News and its growing network of media and commercial partnerships. One assignment may involve reacting quickly to a major sports story, while the next could focus on building a search-friendly guide, supporting a partner's coverage strategy or contributing to a live blog around a marquee event.
You will work closely with Sporting News editors to learn how content is planned, written, packaged and distributed for different audiences and platforms. You will also gain experience collaborating across departments and understanding how editorial content supports audience growth, partnerships and commercial objectives.
Throughout the internship, you will learn how Sporting News works with partners, applies SEO and audience best practices, covers major sporting events and creates content that delivers value for readers, media partners and commercial brands.
