As a sports videographer, you attend all types of games to shoot footage of athletes in action to be used for a news broadcast, sports channel shows, websites, and advertisements. Your duties include composing and framing each shot and utilizing technical aspects such as filters and various camera settings. Your responsibilities include testing, cleaning, and maintaining equipment like cameras and microphones. In this role, you also typically edit your footage. You may work alone while on the field or with a production team when you edit and deliver your final sports footage. You may work independently, on an as-needed basis, or as a full-time employee for a company.
