Major Duties

Under the general supervision of the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Revenue Generation/Chief Revenue Officer, the Stats Caller will be primarily responsible for calling out game stats for data entry personnel during games. The incumbent distributes statistics during timeouts to teams, media, and other parties.

  • Serves as stats caller for various sports (describes in-game action for the person who inputs the data).
  • Runs stat sheets during timeouts to team benches and media
  • Occasionally serves as backup stats inputter for in-game statistics for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's volleyball, and softball and baseball (as needed).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform a variety of simple clerical or manual tasks
  • Knowledge of multiple sports and NCAA Genius scoring softball is preferred.

  • Ability to work in a trainee capacity and demonstrate continued progress or improvement in work habits and skills; follow simple written and oral instructions; establish cooperative working relationships with others; and read, write, and perform tasks appropriate for specific assigned jobs.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • Classification: Helper/Aid / 0101 / 0
  • The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $16.90 - $17.50 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $16.90 - $25.00 per hour.
  • HOURS: Intermittent, on-call; hours and schedule vary; must be available for weekdays, weekends, and evening home game matches.
  • This is a Temporary position; end date to be determined.
  • The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge. This is not a telecommute position.
