To pursue project and client development in the Sept-Ilesregion, BBA wants to bolster its local multidisciplinary team. Working closelywith our offices in Labrador City, Montreal and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this teamis actively involved in developing the Sept-Iles region and in executingvarious projects in the mining and metals, and energy sectors. BBA'sautomation, instrumentation and control engineering teams stands out amongCote-Nord clients because of their cutting-edge technical expertise. Thisexpertise is combined with an unrivalled commitment and understanding of theissues involved in operating and maintaining industrial power systems. 

By joining our team, you'll have the opportunity to assistour industrial clients in the energy and mining markets with their operationsand their maintenance or growth projects. Your role as engineerwill be to participate in engineering mandates in automation, instrumentationand control. You will also contribute to various phases of engineering and sitework. As such, you may be asked to help with preparing proposals, technologicalchoices and solutions proposed to clients.

  • Help prepare plans and specifications as well as detailed engineering deliverables (P&IDs, localization drawings, I/O, loop and motor control schemes, cable and instrument lists, installation details)
  • Draft reports, specifications, including construction and purchasing specifications, and calls for tenders
  • Prepare datasheets and select control instruments (flow, pressure, level) and valves
  • Provide technical assistance during construction work (electrical/instrumentation)
  • Perform inspections or technical surveys
  • Help program PLCs, DCSs and operator interfaces
  • Interact with clients and provide technical support to the team in charge of business development
  • Establish and maintain client contacts
  • Establish client needs and identify new needs throughout the project
  • Participate in commercial and technical proposal preparation
