Position: Techdoc support Engineer
Work Location: Iowa City, IA
Payrate: $48.00/hr on W2
 
Job Description:
  • Creating project in Spider for drawing check out/check in
  • Make new drawing numbers
  • Review drawings submitted by vendors for adherence to Iowa City TechDoc standards
  • Approve project closeouts
  • Assist in educating design engineering/other 3rd parties on the Iowa City TechDoc standards.
  • Create and update technical drawings in Spider for P&G (when other 3rd parties are not involved)
Skills:
  • Participate in regular meetings P&G Tech Doc community Interface with other pillars in Plant to promote Tech Doc integration with other pillar activities as necessary.
  • Execute health checks to assess Tech Doc System health.
  • Manage/create/update any DSOPs necessary to document the tech doc system processes.
  • Ensure tech doc capability and tools are adequate for the site.
  • Interface with site project managers to ensure necessary technical documentation is turned in and stored appropriately by the end of the project.
  • SPOC for any on-site drawing updates
  • Maintain Site's technical documentation SharePoint repository.
  • Site Admin for check in and check out of drawings, process safety studies, project documents.
  • Monitor, facilitate, and maintain Tech Doc related software/programs.
  • Manage Equipment number data and assign numbers for site equipment.
  • Communicate with inside and outside Engineering vendors for drawing check-in & check-outs and the site drawing control process.
  • Obtain any vendor training necessary to maintain drawing skills proficiency.
  • Maintain Site's technical documentation SharePoint repository.
  • Spider account setup for site resources
  • Spider AWC consumer training for site resources
  • Spider tickets submission, follow ups and closure with service team when there are issues with Spider.
  • FLC Mapping for new FLC locations.
  • Spider Teamcenter user connect (weekly) for Spider release and version updates.
  • Spider health check connects (Monthly) for providing site updates and next steps.
  • Spider techdoc Admin connects for other site learning, Spider queries and best practices sharing.
  • Updating spider consumer training document with newer features and version release
  • Spider admin and consumer access audits for IT security
  • Conversion of Master drawings DGN versions to DWG.
  • Site engineering support for layout updates for projects. Engineering drafting (small updates) support for projects
  • Site projects documents uploads.
  • Site machine / equipment manuals uploads for projects support.
  • Vendor drawings uploads (from initial Spider transition. A few vendor drawings need to be manually uploaded to Spider)
