A Water Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing water treatment and distribution equipment, such as pumps, valves, and pipes, to ensure a safe, reliable supply of drinking water. They also perform daily monitoring, laboratory testing, and system maintenance, such as hydrant flushing and water sampling, to ensure compliance with drinking water standards and requirements.
