Intermediate SharePoint Administrator/Developer

Location: Washington, DC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote
Duration: 2 Months

Project Overview

The project involves migrating content and functionality from Drupal CMS to SharePoint Online (SPO). The selected candidate will work with the Application Design and Development (ADD) team and internal business stakeholders to design, develop, and support SharePoint Online collaboration sites that replace existing Drupal functionality while improving collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather business and technical requirements and translate Drupal structures into SharePoint Online architecture.
  • Design and build SharePoint Online sites, pages, and reusable components.
  • Develop SPFx web parts and custom SharePoint solutions.
  • Develop reusable components including:
    • Web Parts
    • Content Types
    • Site Columns
    • List Templates
  • Use out-of-the-box SharePoint functionality as well as custom development.
  • Develop solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS, SPFx, Handlebars, PowerShell, Bootstrap, Fluent UI, and PnP libraries.
  • Build PowerApps and Power Automate solutions.
  • Develop and support integrations using Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, and Web Services.
  • Support integration between Linux file systems and SharePoint Online using scripting, service principal accounts, and Graph API.
  • Conduct code reviews and perform QA of SPFx and React code.
  • Review code developed by other team members and ensure adherence to development standards.
  • Support Drupal-to-SharePoint content migration, including content mapping, cleanup, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Use ShareGate or equivalent migration tools to support migration activities.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Ensure solutions comply with architecture, security, accessibility, and design standards.
  • Apply Section 508 accessibility requirements to SharePoint solutions.
  • Troubleshoot end-user issues and provide production support.
  • Create technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to the internal team.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to accelerate development and improve productivity.
