Job description

ECS is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support the execution and sustainment of technical teams supporting Technical Directive Letters (TDLs) on the Warfighter Training and Readiness Solutions (W-TRS) contract. Work entails coordinating, tracking and processing of Request to Initiate Purchases (RIPs), Travel Authorization Requests (TARs), and material support for multiple ECS employees deployed overseas. Work also entails coordinating with employees and vendors for resolution of maintenance, housing and support related tasks. The Logistics Specialist will be a principal assistant to the ECS W-TRS Project Manager who is currently supporting seven (7) TDLS in six (6) foreign countries. Must be a highly motivated individual with an ardent interest in quality and excellent attention to detail.

Primary Evaluation Metrics

  • Logistics and Data Management Processing – RIPs and TARs prepared and accepted by customers
  • Employee Support Satisfaction – staff issues with repair parts, transportation, travel, housing and in-country support addressed adequately
  • Parts and Material Sourcing - balance requirement for speed while obtaining most cost-effective resolutions/sources

Work Authorization/Security Clearance: US Citizenship required.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare RIPs to source repair parts and material support for deployed teams utilizing client’s established procedures
  • Prepare TARs to forecast and gain approval for contract related travel in support of mission taskings, deployment and redeployment of ECS employees utilizing the client’s established procedures
  • Establish, sustain tracking system that links RIPs and TARs submitted with approval, execution, invoicing and funding
  • Advise the Project Manager on available resources/suppliers of materials to support deployed teams
  • Identify, Gather, and Track requirements and Change Requests throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide updates to the W-TRS Project Manager on status of materials, travel and employee support requirements
  • Responsible to interact knowledgably and professionally with appropriate Government and contractor personnel
  • Provide support to proposal process by identifying and obtaining quotes for material and logistical support
  • Coordinate with established vendors to provide transportation, housing and communication support to deployed employees
  • Responsible for coordinating with employees for on boarding and local purchase items in support of the contract
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for parts ordered, shipped, received and processed

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent Communication Skills, both verbal and non-verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Microsoft Project and Share Point
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, analytical capabilities and strong organizational skills

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Three years’ experience conducting research, sourcing parts and materials, data management and tracking logistical status

Education / Certifications:

  • AA or BA degree desired. Will accept HS Diploma with three or more years of demonstrated work history in the logistics field
