Spectra Tech is hiring an IT Support/Security Specialist for our Corporate Office in Oak Ridge, TN.

IT Support/Security Specialist:


The IT Support/Security Specialist reports to the Spectra Tech Chief Financial Officer. Spectra Tech's IT department is responsible for maintaining/reviewing and solving computer network and hardware problems for its business enterprise and providing IT support primarily for its corporate employees. Spectra Tech's IT department also builds and maintains digital protective measures for Company intellectual property and data, creates contingency plans in case information gets hacked from their networks and servers and serves as a the single point of contact for evaluation of software and software procurements.

Specifics of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Maintain a Windows server/s environment (on premise)
Maintain an Exchange environment (on premise)
Serve as Spectra Tech's Information Security Officer
Maintain cyber security of Spectra Tech data connections. Install, maintain and secure RDP connections though VPN
Maintain network architecture. Install hardware components including but not limited to: PCs, printers, monitors, tablets, 3rd party equipment attached to PC, networking equipment, cellular and VoIP phones.
Be able to troubleshoot/diagnose a problem to resolution whether remotely or in the field.
Troubleshoot IT issues.
Serve as the company expert on CMMC compliance and GCC high security.
Able to perform all duties of the Help Desk Support.
Maintains professional competency through research, study, and continuing education programs as directed.
Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department and organization.
Adheres to all elements of the established corporate compliance program.
Maintains strict confidentiality both internally and externally.
Complete all other duties, special projects as assigned.


Education: AAS/AS in Information Systems or Computer Science. Years of experience: Early career (1 to 3 years of experience)
