PRN Registered Nurse – Federal Occupational Health Clinics

Location: Washington, D.C.

This PRN Registered Nurse position offers the ideal transition for nurses approaching retirement, continuing their education, or simply desire a better work/life balance; who still want to make a difference—without the long shifts, weekend demands, or hospital pace.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide walk-in care for routine injuries and illnesses in an outpatient federal clinic setting.

  • Deliver on-the-spot emergency response, including CPR when needed.

  • Perform preventive health services, including immunizations and blood pressure screenings.

  • Rotate among multiple federal clinic sites in D.C. (with ample notice) as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.


Ideal Background:
  • 2+ years of hands-on clinical experience (more welcomed and valued).

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate’s, or BSN).

  • Current RN license and BLS certification.

  • Self-directed, reliable, and confident in autonomous nursing practice.

  • Comfortable traveling to various clinic locations across Washington, D.C. with 3 weeks' advance scheduling.
