As a Field Services Manager at Spectrum, you will guide fulfillment teams, oversee installations, service and maintenance and drive operational excellence through collaboration across multiple departments. Your leadership ensures optimal network performance, staff development and strategic improvements that directly impact customer satisfaction. 


How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Manage technical operations to maintain network integrity and assure delivery of quality voice, video and data services to customers 
  • Provide technical guidance and support to your teams on technologies, operational standards and staff development 
  • Oversee purchasing, budgeting, business plan development and deployment of new products and capital projects 
  • Deliver quality assurance direction on new and existing technologies, ensuring compliance with FCC standards and resolving escalated customer issues 
  • Monitor and review material management, inventory control, safety training and security procedures for adherence to company policies 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, reporting activity and results to field operations management 
  • Develop and support frontline leadership teams, driving performance improvement and positive employee relations 

Working Conditions 

  • Work in an office and field environments  
  • Operate outdoors in all weather conditions at heights and at various times of day or night 
  • Work indoors in confined spaces and poorly ventilated areas during extreme temperatures

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics, related field or equivalent  
  • Industry and vendor-specific certifications and training such as NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E 

Experience 

  • 5+ years technical supervisory experience or equivalent work experience 

Skills 

  • Ability to splice coaxial cable  
  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP stack and abstraction layers 
  • Advanced knowledge of network designs, architectures and topologies 
  • Advanced knowledge of Spectrum / telecommunications products and services, technical proofs of performance, construction practices, headend operations and installation/service requirements 
  • Knowledge of capital and operating budget processes 
  • Use handheld communication devices, test equipment, and basic software applications including Microsoft Office 
  • Handle multiple projects and tasks while maintaining confidentiality 
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills 
  • Ability to safely use weight-bearing equipment within maximum limitations 
  • Accurately measure distances using tapes or measuring devices 
  • Differentiate between wire sizes and colors and work with small components 
  • Operate bucket trucks, test equipment and appropriate computers or devices for position
