Job description

Help Desk and ERP Technician I
Position overview
We are seeking a Help Desk and ERP Technician I to provide onsite technical and application support at our corporate headquarters. This location supports executive leadership and an expanding call-center operation, creating the need for a responsive, professional IT resource who can take ownership of day-to-day technology issues.
As part of a lean and growing IT team, this individual will support hardware, software, network connectivity, user accounts, enterprise applications, and NetSuite users across multiple locations. The role offers broad technical exposure and the opportunity to grow into additional ERP, systems, and IT operations responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for hardware, software, user accounts, applications, and connectivity issues.
  • Monitor and prioritize help-desk requests while documenting incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
  • Configure, deploy, image, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, phones, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot wired and wireless connectivity, VPN access, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and common network issues.
  • Support Microsoft applications, document-management tools, endpoint security, antivirus, VoIP, and other enterprise systems.
  • Provide first-level NetSuite support involving navigation, transactions, reporting, permissions, Saved Searches, and routine business processes.
  • Assist with NetSuite user setup, onboarding and offboarding, permissions, and security roles.
  • Participate in testing system changes, enhancements, integrations, and configurations.
  • Create user instructions, technical procedures, and knowledge-base documentation.
  • Collaborate with employees, vendors, and IT colleagues to resolve issues and improve workflows.
  • Assist with equipment inventory, employee training, data validation, reporting, and other IT projects.
  • Provide professional, white-glove support to executives and other corporate users.
  • Escalate unresolved or advanced issues to the appropriate internal resource.

Qualifications
  • Two to five years of experience in IT support, ERP support, or a related technical role.
  • Experience supporting or using an ERP platform; NetSuite experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, desktop hardware, Microsoft applications, enterprise software, endpoint security, antivirus, and device-management tools.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, wired networks, and wireless networks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or another cloud environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, customer-service, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a distributed IT team.
  • Ability to prioritize competing requests and interact professionally with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to lift, move, and install standard workstation and office technology equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work environment
This position is based onsite at the company's Indianapolis corporate headquarters, where executive leaders and an expanding call-center team are located. The technician will operate with meaningful independence while working alongside two existing help-desk employees. Advanced issues may be escalated to senior IT resources.
Because the organization is actively building its documentation and knowledge base, the successful candidate should be comfortable learning through collaboration, documenting solutions, and helping improve support processes.
Why join the team?
  • Expand beyond traditional help-desk work into NetSuite and ERP support.
  • Gain exposure to Microsoft technologies, networking, cloud environments, and enterprise applications.
  • Work directly with corporate leadership and develop valuable executive-support experience.
  • Contribute to building processes and documentation within a growing IT organization.
  • Take ownership of varied technical work instead of handling only repetitive support requests.
  • Develop toward increased responsibility in ERP, systems administration, infrastructure, or IT operations.

Key Details
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN
  • Work arrangement: Onsite
  • Salary range: $50,000-$75,000 annually
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance available
