Position Summary

We are looking for an energetic and reliable Concessions Food Runner to support concessions operations across multiple locations at Benchmark International Arena, ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience during events. As a Concessions Food Runner,ย you will be responsible for supporting concession operations by ensuring timely delivery of food, beverages, and supplies between storage areas, kitchens, and concession stands. This role is critical for maintaining efficient service during events and ensuring all stands are stocked and operational.

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00-$17.50

Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.

This position will remain open until September 25, 2026.

From 2011 to 2013, Benchmark International Arena had more than $62 million in improvements that have clearly revolutionized the industry and made it the premier entertainment venue in the state of Florida. With a wide array of venues spread throughout the United States, it can be difficult to find one that distinguishes itself from the others. That is not the case with the renovated Benchmark International Arena, Florida's premier entertainment venue and home of the three-time Stanley Cup champion, Tampa Bay Lightning. Boasting unique features like lightning-throwing Tesla coils, the 11,000 square-foot Budweiser Biergarten with incredible views of the city and a massive five-manual, 105-rank digital pipe organ, Benchmark International Arena consistently ranks among the very best venues in the United States. The best part? This is only the beginning.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverage orders from kitchen and warehouse areas to concessions locations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food pickup and delivery stations
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and concessions attendants to coordinate order readiness and resolve any discrepancies
  • Verify order accuracy and presentation before delivery to ensure quality standards are met
  • Assist with restocking supplies and condiments at concession stands as needed
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines in accordance with health regulations
  • Provide courteous and efficient customer service, addressing guest inquiries or concerns promptly
  • Support concession operations during peak hours by helping with basic prep, packaging, or cashier duties when required
  • Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors
  • Uphold venue policies and contribute to a positive guest experience through professional conduct and teamwork
  • Communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Other duties as necessary, as directed by the assigned location Supervisors and Managers.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Three or more months' experience in the food service industry preferred.
  • Must be able to operate POS system.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods during events.ย 
  • Able to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.ย 
  • The employee is frequently required to lift heavy objects.ย
