Overview
The Venue Accountant is responsible for all accounting aspects of several Broadway/Theatre and Festival locations. Relaxed, casual office environment with a family feel.

This role pays an annual salary of $55,000-$65,000 and is bonus eligible.
Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).
This position will remain open until July 31, 2026.
Responsibilities
  • Review and record sales entries (to include running sales reports directly from point-of-sale systems and discussions with management to ensure sales are complete).
  • Review, analyze, and record month ending inventories (Calculating ending inventory in accordance with GAAP; also, to include detailed review/accounting of BevSpot inventory software).
  • Prepare and record monthly closing entries and assist in month end close process (100% responsible for all closing entries for assigned venues).
  • Collect accounts receivables for each assigned venue,
  • Prepare the proper valuation (analysis, calculation, recommendation) of food and beverage inventory in accordance w/ GAAP.
  • Detailed analysis of profit and loss statements including discussion with venue/corporate management regarding profitability, budget, and performance.
  • Settlement of the culinary business at outdoor golf tournaments and music festivals. This includes working with restaurants/caterers located across the US to ensure their show settlements are calculated in accordance with contracts and settled within 4 business days post event (calculations, contract review, discussions w/ restaurant owners and operators, and responsibility for post-show settlement and accounting entries).
  • Special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed by management..

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years' experience with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Expertise in accounting for restaurants and caterers. Experience with restaurants and catering within the entertainment industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based point-of-sale systems (Square, Toast, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based inventory and payment/ordering systems used to manage beverage inventories (Bev Spot, Fintech, etc.).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to conduct research and perform analytical reporting.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
