Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishes and maintains the preventive maintenance schedules for the refurbishment center’s equipment.
  • Performs the more complex preventive maintenance tasks for the refurbishment centers equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair the mechanical aspects of the refurbishment center’s equipment.
  • When not handling a maintenance related issue this position will perform the day-to-day activities of either a mass spectrometer operator or tanks assembler.
  • Material handling of awkward and heavy CO2 vessels up to 6 ft. tall and weighing up to 750 lbs.
  • Maintains an extremely clean and well-organized work area.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to comprehend more complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in written or oral form.
    • Ability to read and legibly write correspondence and accurately convey information whether by phone or e-mail.
    • Must be able to read and write English.
    • Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to self-teach oneself machine operations from a manual.
    • Ability to foster strong relationships with colleagues and field personnel.

      EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • Technical Degree considered a plus.

      EXPERIENCE:

      • Should possess good equipment troubleshooting skills.
      • Good employment record demonstrating good job stability.
      • Quality Control testing experience using instrumentation is considered a plus.

      CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

      • Will be expected to take courses in vacuum technology and helium leak detection techniques.

          PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

          • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
          • Must be able to maneuver tanks weighing up to 430 lbs. and up to 6 ft. tall into position to test.
          • Must be able to bend, stretch, pull, and go into kneeling position and return to standing position multiple times per day.
