Job description

The Production / Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production and warehouse operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery. This role leads production and warehouse team members, coordinates operational activities, manages inventory and material flow, and drives continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and develop production and warehouse employees.
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide employee coaching, training, performance management, and support hiring activities.
  • Coordinate daily production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery requirements.
  • Monitor productivity, downtime, scrap, and other operational performance metrics.
  • Manage inventory accuracy and material flow throughout the facility.
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading activities.
  • Maintain organization and housekeeping standards in warehouse and production areas.
  • Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and OSHA requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel to minimize equipment downtime.

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment required.
  • Experience within the building products industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing 25-60 pounds.
