Essential Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.2. Drives in a safe manner; abides by all posted speed limits and traffic regulations.3. Completes daily pre-operational assessment and checklist on the vehicle.4. Transfers all items in a manner that preserves quality and safety from vehicle to designated delivery area.5. Keeps interior of vehicle clean including taking it for monthly wash; maintains and checks the vehicle maintenance log and immediately notifies leadership of any damage to the vehicle or needed maintenance and repairs.6. Ensures copy of transportation manual is maintained and in the truck with policies/procedures, routes, med staff roster; ensures safety kit and accident kit are available and maintained.7. Delivers correct supplies and other items to clients and off-campus locations.8. Completes annual Drivers Safety course and Golf Cart Safety module.9. Picks up and delivers laboratory specimens to the Laboratory in a timely period; delivers all laboratory result reports to client offices before noon; completes daily "LT Route Stops and Specimen Pick-up Log" and submits weekly to client service, if applicable.10. Ensures all patient specimen handling guidelines are met during pickup, transport and delivery; Works with Specimen Processing and Client Services staff to ensure all specimens and reports are received/handled in a timely manner to ensure optimal patient care, if applicable.11. Prioritizes STAT pickups, and ensures that these are picked up and delivered to the lab as soon as possible; announces STAT arrival to specimen processing staff and ensures acknowledgement by staff member, if applicable.12. Assists in maintaining organization, proper labeling, dating, and rotation of product in dry storage, coolers and freezers in assigned kitchen for vendor deliveries, if applicable.13. Participates in the planning and transportation needs for special events, if applicable.14. Delivers mail to designated departments, if applicable.15. Completes appropriate daily log when receiving and picking up supplies for off campus sites, if applicable.16. Performs other duties as assigned.
