As a Specifications Engineer you will be responsible for initiating, coordinating and implementing TOI and specifications for manufacturing processes. You will ensure that timely and effective results of the specifications work is accomplished. In addition, you will provide daily support for all items TOI and specifications related.

What you'll do:

  • Evaluate, synthesize, and interrelate information from internal and external sources when solving problems and making decisions
  • Make decisions based on analysis, experience, and good judgment; solve difficult problems with effective solutions; ask questions and probe diverse sources for answers
  • Accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; organize work into logical process steps; use time effectively; establish priorities
  • Involve relevant others in shaping plans and making decisions; participate in group efforts and encourage others' participation; listen to co-workers' concerns and provide assistance as appropriate
  • Evaluate the risk/reward priority of improvement opportunities
  • Develop, document, implement, and sustain TOI and specifications using appropriate data and tools
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Significant time spent at desk using programs to complete work
  • Strong project management capabilities

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering, Technology, Physical Sciences
  • Experience with process control and new product introduction technologies
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Wire & Cable industry experience (preferred)
  • Experience in process driven, continuous operations
  • Proven project management skills
  • Experience leading high performance work teams is a plus
  • Programming and data analytics experience is a plus
