Position Overview

The Security Specialist serves as a critical part of ESL’s corporate security operations team. This role goes far beyond traditional “guarding” and requires professionalism, technical aptitude, situational awareness, exceptional customer service, and strong communication skills.

Security Specialists are responsible for maintaining a safe, professional, and welcoming environment while supporting advanced corporate security operations within a fast-paced technology environment.

This position requires individuals who are highly reliable, technologically proficient, detail-oriented, and capable of interacting professionally with executives, employees, vendors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and secure assigned corporate facilities and access points
  • Provide exceptional customer service and employee support
  • Utilize corporate security systems, software platforms, and communication tools
  • Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports and documentation
  • Operate within established security protocols and escalation procedures
  • Coordinate with internal teams and management during incidents or emergencies
  • Support badge/access control operations
  • Conduct patrols and inspections with strong attention to detail
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other security technologies
  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times
  • Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate punctuality, accountability, and operational discipline

Required Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 5–7 years of security, military, law enforcement, corporate security, or equivalent professional experience
  • California Guard Card (or ability to obtain immediately)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong computer and technology proficiency
  • Experience with:
    • Google Workspace (Google Docs, Google Calendar, Gmail)
    • Slack or similar communication platforms
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong report-writing ability
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Proven reliability and punctuality
