Job Summary:

H2L Solutions is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Special Security Representative (SSR) / SSO Support Specialist to support Defense Special Security System and Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Security operations. The selected candidate will provide Special Security Office (SSO) support services focused on the protection of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), personnel security administration, physical security compliance, and Special Access Program security requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of accredited facilities, managing security access processes, and ensuring compliance with Intelligence Community and Department of Defense security directives.

Position is for an ongoing and funded government contract.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Manage and update personnel security records within DISS, Scattered Castles, NBIS, and local security tracking systems.
  • Process SCI access nominations and conduct required prescreening interviews.
  • Coordinate eligibility upgrades and adjudication actions with DCSA Adjudication and Vetting Services (AVS).
  • Maintain personnel security documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and privacy requirements.
  • Support the management and maintenance of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) in accordance with ICD 705 standards.
  • Review and manage Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), TEMPEST documentation, and physical security accreditation requirements.
  • Establish and review Construction Security Plans (CSPs), Modification Security Plans (MSPs), CoUtilization Agreements, and Concept Approval packages.
  • Operate and maintain automated access control and intrusion detection systems.
  • Maintain visitor control procedures, access rosters, and security logs.
  • Assist with alarm response procedures and physical security inspections.
  • Change and maintain approved combinations for LKM7000/CDXXX series security containers.
  • Conduct SCI indoctrinations, refresher briefings, and debriefings.
  • Deliver specialized security briefings for NATO, Critical Nuclear Weapons Design Information (CNWDI), and Restricted Data programs.
  • Promote security awareness and compliance across supported organizations.
  • Assist with preliminary inquiries involving security incidents and potential compromises of classified information.
  • Conduct selfinspections and compliance reviews.
  • Draft Incident Detection System (IDS) reports and related security documentation.
  • Ensure personnel security records, foreign travel reporting, and SF312 documentation remain current and compliant.
  • Monitor and manage security actions through Task Management Tool (TMT) systems.
  • Prepare weekly activity reports and program status updates.
  • Consolidate and maintain security metrics and statistical reporting.
  • Maintain SSO SharePoint sites and electronic records management systems.
  • Draft, review, and edit official security correspondence, memorandums, and reports.
  • Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • Six (6) to ten (10) years of experience supporting DoD Special Security programs, Special Security Offices (SSO), SCI environments, or related security operations.
  • Demonstrated experience administering SCI access programs and personnel security processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of: oICD 705 Technical Specifications
  • DoD Manual 5105.21, Volumes 1-3 oDoD Manual 5200.02 (Personnel Security Program)
  • DoD Manual 5205.07 (Special Access Program Security Manual) o32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM)
  • DoD Manual 5200.01, Volumes 1-4 (Information Security Program)
  • Experience utilizing DISS, Scattered Castles, NBIS, and other government security databases.
  • Familiarity with DODIIS Enterprise Record Message Traffic (RMT).
  • Experience supporting NATO security operations, including SubRegistry functions, preferred.
  • Experience managing CNWDI and Restricted Data access programs preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare official correspondence and conduct security briefings for military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple security actions simultaneously.
  • Security Requirements (Mandatory):
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Current SCI eligibility.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required accesses and customer approvals.
  • Must comply with all government and contract security requirements.

    Education Requirements (Mandatory):
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant military, intelligence community, or security certifications may be considered in lieu of some education requirements.
  • Work Environment/ Location:
  • Primarily performed in a government office and secure facility environment.
  • Work is conducted within accredited SCIFs and other controlledaccess locations.
  • Position is located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
