Area Sales Representative-Medical Aesthetics
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading provider of innovative medical technology focused on minimally invasive solutions for the medical aesthetics and surgical markets. This field-based sales role offers the opportunity to represent cutting-edge capital equipment while partnering with physicians and medical practices to improve patient outcomes and grow their businesses.
Position Summary
The Area Sales Representative is a driven, results-oriented sales professional responsible for developing and managing a designated territory. This role is focused on new business development through prospecting, cold calling, in-person customer visits, clinical product demonstrations, and closing capital equipment sales. Success in this position requires a highly motivated individual who enjoys building relationships, managing a sales pipeline, and exceeding performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas and performance objectives.
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and face-to-face visits with physicians and medical practices.
  • Build relationships with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, cosmetic physicians, medical spas, and other aesthetic healthcare providers.
  • Maintain and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Conduct clinical product demonstrations and presentations highlighting both clinical applications and financial return on investment.
  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies to maximize market penetration.
  • Partner with clinical trainers and internal support teams to ensure successful customer engagement.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, workshops, educational events, and regional meetings.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline updates, competitive intelligence, and territory activity reports to sales leadership.
  • Ensure a smooth customer onboarding experience by coordinating post-sale support and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 3+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience.
  • Experience selling medical devices, capital equipment, diagnostics, healthcare technology, payroll, software, or other consultative B2B solutions is highly preferred.
  • Medical aesthetics industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated success prospecting, developing new business, and closing sales.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively manage a sales territory.
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
Travel Requirements
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory (approximately 5070%), including occasional weekends for customer events, workshops, and industry conferences.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and transport demonstration equipment weighing up to 4050 pounds.
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $75,000-$80,000
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $150,000-$175,000 (uncapped commission)
