Spartan Emergency Water Removal is a USMC Disabled Veteran - founded company specializing in water, fire, mold, storm, environmental, and reconstruction services. We proudly serve homeowners and businesses across Northern Virginia, Fredericksburg, Richmond, and surrounding areas. Our team is committed to delivering fast, professional restoration services while maintaining a supportive and team-driven workplace.
Job Summary:
The Restoration Technician assists with mitigation, restoration, and contents handling services at job sites following water, fire, mold, or other property damage. This role supports the restoration team by performing demolition, cleanup, equipment handling, and documentation while ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Technicians must maintain productivity on job sites, accurately document work performed, handle customer property with care, and support crew operations while following company standards and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with mitigation and restoration work including demolition, debris removal, cleaning, and job site setup.
  • Properly move, wrap, package, and protect customer contents during restoration projects.
  • Take job photos and complete accurate documentation according to company standards.
  • Follow direction from Crew Chiefs and Project Managers and report any job site issues or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
  • Load and unload trucks with equipment, materials, debris, and contents.
  • Maintain trucks, tools, and equipment in clean and working condition.
  • Assist with warehouse organization and proper storage of customer contents.
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Support team operations and assist other crews or departments as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime and emergency response.
  • IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, etc.) are a plus but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50+ lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, or climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, damp or humid conditions, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and mitigation equipment.
  • Ability to wear required PPE including respirators, gloves, and protective clothing.
Work environments may include residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, or environmental damage with exposure to dust, debris, and noise.
