Job description

Culmen International is seeking a bilingual Spanish Linquist/Translator to support JIATF-
CC at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, AZ.

  • Provide Spanish-language simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for meetings and operational coordination.
  • Provide written translation and review of analytic, operational, and intelligence products.
  • Provide interpretation support at the General/Flag Officer and Senior Executive Service (SES) level.
  • Operate Sennheiser (or equivalent) interpretation equipment.
  • Translate technical documents containing military, intelligence, and law enforcement terminology.
  • Maintain engagement records and translation/interpretation activity logs.
  • Provide an Intelligence Specialist with the principal place of performance in Tucson, Arizona (JIATF-CC), to serve as SME, Intelligence Plans, Programs and Systems, with knowledge of CTOC operations.
  • Assisting in the development of intelligence planning, intelligence systems architecture requirements, and intelligence training.
  • Provide Spanish linguist/translator personnel who possess a minimum Level 4 (Full Professional Proficiency) in both reading and speaking, as measured by the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Foreign Service Institute (FSI) scale, or equivalent Government-recognized assessment. Documentation of proficiency shall be provided to the Government upon request.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a college or university. Experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree by offering an alternative combination of educational, professional, and/or technical experience.
  • Experience in Spanish linguist/translator personnel who possess a minimum Level 4 (Full Professional Proficiency) in both reading and speaking, as measured by the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Foreign Service Institute (FSI) scale, or equivalent Government-recognized assessment.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
