Position Overview

This role requires an individual who can expertly manage commercial concrete projects from start to finish, overseeing all aspects of execution, including coordination with subcontractors, budget oversight, and client communication. The ideal candidate will drive project success by maintaining accuracy, ensuring an efficient workflow, and fostering collaboration among all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  1. Project Cost Analysis & Budgeting
    • Assist in gathering and organizing information for commercial concrete project estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
    • Develop and maintain project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and financial viability.
    • Monitor job costs, update financial forecasts, and communicate status to leadership or clients as required.
  2. Project Management & Coordination
    • Oversee the full project lifecycle, from planning to close-out, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
    • Manage and coordinate subcontractors involved in various phases of the project.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, workflows, and resource plans.
    • Identify potential risks or delays and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
  3. Team Collaboration & Leadership
    • Work in tandem with engineers, superintendents, foremen, and field teams to coordinate project requirements and resolve issues quickly.
    • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
    • Foster a collaborative environment focused on performance, productivity, and mutual respect.
  4. Technology & Continuous Improvement
    • Utilize industry-standard software such as Procore and scheduling tools to streamline project management.
    • Stay current with industry trends, innovative practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve project outcomes and efficiency.
  5. Safety & Compliance
    • Uphold a safety-first culture, ensuring that all site activities align with OSHA standards and company policies.
    • Conduct regular site visits or audits to verify safe working conditions.
    • Maintain clear documentation for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (not mandatory).
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in project management, specifically within commercial concrete.
    • Proficiency in cost analysis, budget management, and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices in concrete services.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively.
    • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
    • Commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (within a 60-mile radius).
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP) are advantageous.
