Job description

About the Role: Clinical Excellence in a Montessori Setting

Mi Escuela Montessori is seeking a Bilingual SLP to serve as a diagnostic leader and therapeutic expert for our PreK-8th grade community. This role is a "Clinical-Educational Hybrid," designed for a professional who thrives on the intersection of evidence-based therapy and the Montessori philosophy of "Follow the Child."

You will lead the diagnostic process for our dual-language learners, manage a caseload that blends Inclusion (Push-in) and Pull-out therapy, and serve as a cultural liaison for our Spanish-speaking families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Leadership: Conduct comprehensive evaluations for Spanish/English bilingual students using culturally responsive tools to distinguish between language difference and disorder.

  • Hybrid Service Model: Provide targeted intervention through a mix of classroom-based support and specialized pull-out sessions.

  • Clinical Compliance: Write child-centered IEPs and maintain documentation to Medicaid billing specifications.

  • Collaborative Screening: Partner with Montessori Guides to provide interactive classroom screenings and demonstrations.

  • Family Partnership: Lead IEP meetings and parent consultations in both English and Spanish.

Position Benefits & Training Perks
  • Market-Leading Pay: We pay on the 216-day salary scale for a 196-day work schedule, offering a premium daily rate compared to standard district roles.

  • Professional Credentialing: 100% reimbursement for annual ASHA dues and Florida State License fees.

  • Clinical Fellowship (CF) Support: We are a supported CF site. For exceptional new graduates, the school will provide and fund the required ASHA-certified external supervision/mentorship.

  • Montessori Professional Path: Sponsored Montessori Orientation training to bridge clinical therapy with the Montessori prepared environment.

  • Annual Clinical Stipend: A $750 annual professional development stipend for CEUs, specialized certifications, or conference registrations.

  • Protected Documentation Time: Dedicated "Compliance Blocks" during the work week for Medicaid logging and evaluation reports.

Qualifications
  • Education: Masterโ€™s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.

  • Licensure: Valid Florida SLP License (Department of Health) or Florida Educator Certificate in Speech-Language Impaired.

  • Language: Native or professional-grade bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal).

  • Clinical Skills: Experience writing IEPs and a strong understanding of Medicaid billing requirements.

  • ASHA Certification: CCC-SLP preferred (Clinical Fellows with strong bilingual backgrounds and a desire for Montessori integration are encouraged to apply).
