Job description

We are seeking a Software Engineer for one of our PRIME CONTRACTS and offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. Our mission supports the Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) by providing full life cycle support services through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise corporate applications. These applications are used across the government enterprise and are critical to the daily functions of thousands of users across acquisition, business, finance, HR, training, recruitment, program management, security, logistics and more. Join a collaborative team of developers and a system engineer supporting mission-critical enterprise applications for Space, Property, and Transportation Management. This role will initially support the final release activities for the Power Space and Cooling (PSC) application as it transitions into sustainment and will continue to play a key role in maintaining and modernizing the application's backend services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enhance backend services developed using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Update software requirements, libraries, and dependencies to ensure the application remains secure, supported, and maintainable.
  • Analyze and implement code changes required as a result of dependency and framework upgrades.
  • Perform application maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, issue identification, and defect resolution.
  • Develop and implement code enhancements and technical improvements based on customer and program requirements.
  • Collaborate with customers, developers, and system engineers to deliver timely and effective solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to planning, estimation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support application deployments and troubleshooting activities within Linux and Docker-based environments.
  • Contribute to the long-term stability, reliability, and modernization of enterprise applications.

Required Qualifications:
  • An active security clearance with polygraph.
  • A bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience in software development/ engineering in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Ten (10) years of software development experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Java development.
  • Experience with a JavaScript framework such as Angular.
  • Experience developing in the Linux operating system.
  • Experience with Docker for containerized application deployment and management.
  • Must be able to work between the core hours of 10AM-2PM. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
