Job description

Carolina Waste is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Scale House Attendant to join our team in N. Charleston, SC. Previous experience in the waste or recycling industry is a strong plus but not required for the right candidate.
This role is a critical first point of contact for our customers and requires strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Operate truck scales (weighing vehicles in and out accurately)
  • Maintain and update customer account and transaction information
  • Set up new customer accounts in the system
  • Run daily and monthly operational reports and input data into Excel spreadsheets
  • Generate, review, and process customer invoices
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and site staff
  • Perform administrative tasks while working independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
