Job description

Space Force Targeting Instructor - TS/SCI
Location: Peterson Space Force Base, CO
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
The Leidos Defense Group is seeking an experienced Space Targeting Instructor to support a Military Intelligence Program enabling the United States Space Force ISR enterprise. You will join a mission-driven team delivering advanced training, intelligence solutions, and operational support across land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace. Our work underpins some of the nation's most critical "can't-fail" missions-helping customers detect illicit activity, anticipate global instability, and safeguard national security.
As the Space Targeting SME , you will lead course development, instruction, and curriculum modernization for Space Force targeting professionals. This role requires deep expertise in space targeting tradecraft, and training delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide course development, updates, and primary instruction for Space Force targeting training programs.
  • Serve as the schoolhouse Space Targeting SME, ensuring curriculum accuracy, relevancy, and alignment with evolving USSF ISR requirements.
  • Train students on the fundamentals of collecting, analyzing, and applying targeting techniques and tradecraft using real-world scenarios.
  • Maintain strong collaboration with mission partners to ensure training reflects current operational needs.

Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience) and 10+ years of experience relevant to the USSF ISR mission.
  • 4+ years of experience within the space targeting enterprise.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a diverse customer set.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to support operational requirements.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent Space Force ISR experience.
  • Recent Space Force instructor experience.
