Northrop Grumman is seeking a new Government Relations executive to engage with senior Intelligence Community and/or Space Force officials involved in the development of current and future space-based capabilities.

Reporting to the Vice President for Space, Intelligence, and Cyber programs, the candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships acrossthe Intelligence Community and/or select Space Force offices to facilitate an in-depth understanding of US Government needs associated with the development of critical space-based capabilities. This individual will orchestrate and coordinate high-level customer engagements in close collaboration with other corporate and sector teams through internal cross-sector and external strategy development and outreach.

The candidate selected for this opportunity will be based out of El Segundo, California OR Falls Church, Virginia, with domestic travel as necessary.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Coordinate, integrate, and help shape corporate and sector customer engagements. Help craft campaign strategies and facilitate, in close cooperation with sector business development experts, new business opportunities across Northrop's space portfolio and with a wide range of executive branch customers.

  • Support corporate and sector teams in the design, construction, and execution of customer analysis plans and customer engagement plans.

  • Provide input for the development of company priority programs.

  • Maintain awareness of significant policy, program, budget, and legislative initiatives affecting corporate goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 14 yrs of relevant experience; Master's and at least 12 yrs, along with significant and recent Intelligence Community and/or Space Force acquisition or operational experience.

  • Current DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance; maintaining the required security clearance will be a condition of continued employment.

  • The selected candidate will be required to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company, and also by customer and/or program requirements; maintaining a SAP/SAR clearance will be a condition of continued employment.

  • The ability to analyze a broad range of issues and exercise strategic thinking to best influence IC and/or DoW civilian leadership and military decision-makers.

  • A high level of confidence, integrity, and a hands-on approach to problem solving as well as a professional executive presence for interacting with and influencing IC and/or DoW decision makers, senior management, and executives internal and external to the company.

  • Some experience with IC and/or DoW budget, acquisition, and requirements processes.

  • Strong judgment, decision-making skills, flexibility, agility, and political acumen.

  • Unwavering commitment and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

  • Excellent organizational and verbal and written communications skills, as well as project management, analytical planning, presentation, and human relations skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retired Flag/General Officer or Senior Executive.

Primary Level Salary Range: $242,100.00 - $363,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
